Terrie Cantrell of Hackleburg, Ala., joined the NMMC staff in 1984 and previously served as a payroll and accounts payable clerk.
What she loves most is serving others and working with her hospital “family.”
Andrea Carpenter, RNHome Health and Hospice
Andrea Carpenter of Mantachie joined the NMMC staff in January 2007 and previously served as a nurse on 3 South.
Carpenter says the best part of her job is knowing that she has made a difference in someone’s life. She loves caring for her patients and seeing the impact Home Health has on their lives.
Cindy Cockell, RNHome Health and Hospice
Pontotoc Branch
Cindy Cockell of Houston joined the NMMC staff in 1997, and previously worked in the Emergency Department. She was named an All Star in 2005 as well.
Cockell enjoys visiting patients, especially those who may be lonely, and becoming like part of their family.
Tina Bell FloydCertified Nursing Assistant
Home Health and Hospice
Tina Bell Floyd of Plantersville joined the NMMC staff in 2004, and previously served as a nursing assistant on 3 West. She was named an All Star in 2006 as well.
The best part of Floyd’s job is being there for her patients and their families at some of the lowest and loneliest parts of their lives. She feels they are her extended family, and all are very special to her.
Amy JenkinsAdmissions/Discharge Specialist

Amy Jenkins of Houston joined the NMMC staff in 1997, and previously served as office manager at the Women’s Group-Houston.
Jenkins was recognized for her extraordinary devotion to patients, which included buying a gas card so that a patient would be able to drive to his out-of-town doctor’s appointment and helping another patient acquire a scooter for mobility.
Terry KendrickCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Skilled Nursing Facility
Terry Kendrick of Tupelo joined the NMMC staff in 1991, and previously worked in the NMMC Rehabilitation Institute. She was named an All Star in 2008 as well.
Kendrick was recognized for going out of her way in caring for her patients. Acts of kindness included buying one patient her favorite kind of soap, taking a patient’s clothes home to launder them, and buying canes for patients who could not afford them.
Brandon LeathersSecurity Officer
Brandon Leathers of Tremont joined the NMMC staff in 2008.
Leathers was cited for helping others throughout the organization, whether trying to fix a stranded car in a hospital entrance or troubleshooting computer problems in the Emergency Department. He enjoys working with employees in different departments.
Loralei McGeeResource Coordinator
Education
Loralei McGee of Tupelo joined the hospital staff in 1997, and previously served as an inpatient coder in Health Information Services. She was named an All Star in 2005 as well.
McGee says she loves the smile on customers’ faces when they realize she can get the library references they need. Providing information that will impact our patients is her personal contribution to patient care.
Telena Westmoreland, RNHome Health and Hospice
Telena Westmoreland of Fulton has served in several roles since joining the NMMC staff in 2000. She worked as a charge nurse on 3 South, in the Critical Care Unit, and on 3 East pulmonary stepdown unit prior to joining Home Health. She was named an All Star in 2006 as well.
Westmoreland says she loves to see her patients smile and is proud to be a part of the NMMC family.
Wade Westmoreland, RNHome Health and Hospice
Wade Westmoreland of Fulton joined the hospital staff in 2004, and previously served as a nurse in the neuro stepdown unit, the Emergency Department, and in Special Procedures.
Westmoreland says he appreciates working for NMMC because it allows the opportunity to serve others and to know that he has made a difference in someone’s life.
