Kevin Abel, M,D.: received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Mississippi State University in Starkville, and his medical training from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He recently completed his family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center, where he served as chief resident.

Sharon Mitchell, M.D.: A board-certified internal medicine physician, completed her medical studies at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. Dr. Mitchell worked in the North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Department/Express Care for five years.

Pam Hodges, CFNP: Hodges, a certified family nurse practitioner, is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a master’s degree in nursing and training in hospice and palliative care. She also holds a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. Employed as a registered nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center since 1979, she is certified in oncology, hospice and palliative care nursing. Hodges was one of 10 outstanding cancer care providers chosen to receive the 2010 American Cancer Society Lane W. Adams Quality of Life Award, a prestigious national prize for cancer care giving. She was named 2008 Nurse of the Year by the Mississippi Nurses Association.
Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Appointments may be made by calling (662) 365-4100 during office hours. Appointments may be requested with the health care provider of your choice. Every effort will be made to provide the earliest possible appointment for the convenience of the patient. Due to the unscheduled nature of emergencies, occasional delays do occur. We hope you will understand these delays are unavoidable.
We accept walk-in patients. However, walk-in patients will be worked into the schedule as time permits.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel as far in advance as possible. Another patient who can be booked into the open time will be grateful for your thoughtfulness.
