Judah Askew, M.D.: Earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Portland State University Honors College. He completed his medical training at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Portland, and his general surgery residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Mass. He then completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Askew is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery, and is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He joined the NMMC medical staff in 2011.

Robert J. Derveloy III, M.D.: Completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He received his medical training at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery residency and cardiovascular surgery fellowship. He completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Derveloy is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He joined the NMMC medical staff in 2003.

Vishal Sachdev, M.D.: A graduate of Louisiana State University, Dr. Sachdev received his medical training at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his general surgery internship and residency as well as a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Sachdev is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He joined the NMMC medical staff in 2000.

David Talton, M.D.: Received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from North Carolina State University. He completed his medical studies at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and his cardiothoracic and general surgery residencies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Talton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and he is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He joined the NMMC medical staff in 1997.
Amy Ballard, MPAS, PA-C: Earned her bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002 and completed her master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in 2008. Ballard is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants.
Christopher K. McCarley, PA-C: Earned his bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital in 2001. McCarley is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the Mississippi Academy of Physician Assistants.
Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Appointments may be made by calling (662) 377-7170 during office hours. Appointments may be requested with the health care provider of your choice. Every effort will be made to provide the earliest possible appointment for the convenience of the patient. Due to the unscheduled nature of emergencies, occasional delays do occur. We hope you will understand these delays are unavoidable.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel as far in advance as possible. Another patient who can be booked into the open time will be grateful for your thoughtfulness.
