Hepatology. Physicians in the Hepatology Center are able to evaluate and treat diseases of the liver. The staff has been active in clinical trials for viral hepatitis and has expertise in cholestatic liver disease. A close working relationship exists with interventional radiologists and surgeons for the care of patients with hepatic disorders. While a liver transplant program does not exist in Mississippi, the Center for Digestive Health’s physicians have an excellent relationship with two regional transplant centers and extensive experience in the pre- and post-transplant management of these patients.
