| Baldwyn Nursing Facility is home to 107 residents who require long-term or short-term specialized care. The nursing staff includes RNs, LPNs and certified nursing assistants who choose between eight-hour and 12-hour shifts.
Physical, occupational and speech-language therapy are available. The social work and activity staff provide leisure opportunities for residents. A licensed beauty shop and chapel are also onsite.
The facility's new short stay program provides individuals with skilled services (such as IV therapy and rehabilitation) for up to 100 days before they are discharged to home or elsewhere. Hospice patients may also find a home at Baldwyn Nursing Facility.
Because it takes someone special to care for nursing home patients day in and day out, Baldwyn Nursing Facility utilizes a mentor program to encourage new nursing assistants to stay for the long haul. When a new nursing assistant is hired, she is paired with a seasoned veteran who can answer questions, help with training, lend support and, most importantly, simply listen.
After the new employee stays on the job for six months, both receive a reward earnings check. At the end of one year on the job, both the new employee and her mentor receive another reward earnings check.
