Dr. John Kerr photo

John Kerr, M.D.:Received his medical training at the University of Kentucky Medical College and completed his family medicine residency at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. In 2010, Dr. Kerr received three-year recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)/American Diabetes Association (ADA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.

Dr. Doug Martin photo

Doug Martin, D.O.: Received his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He completed his medical training at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo., and his family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences. Dr. Martin previously served as a physician in the United States Air Force. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, and is a board certified family physician.

Cesar Romero, M.D.: Completed his medical studies at the University of the Philippines and his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Mary Rose Santiago photo

Mary Rose Santiago, M.D.: A board-certified pediatrician, is a graduate of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.

Jarred Sartain, M.D.: Earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. He received his medical training from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Practice Residency.

Mechelle Alexander, CFNP: Earned her associate's degree in nursing from Bevill State Community College, and her master's degree and family nurse practitioner training from Samford University in Birmingham. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her preceptor is Dr. Jarred Sartain.

LeeAnn Stanford, CFNP: Earned her associate's degree in nursing from Northwest Community College, and her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama. She received her master's degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and her family nurse practitioner training from Samford University in Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her preceptor is Dr. Jarred Sartain.

 

Appointments

Appointments may be made by calling (205) 921-6496 during office hours. Appointments may be requested with the health care provider of your choice. Every effort will be made to provide the earliest possible appointment for the convenience of the patient. Due to the unscheduled nature of emergencies, occasional delays do occur. We hope you will understand these delays are unavoidable.

We accept walk-in patients. However, walk-in patients will be worked into the schedule as time permits.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel as far in advance as possible. Another patient who can be booked into the open time will be grateful for your thoughtfulness.

 After Hours Care

If you have health care questions after hours, please call Nurse Link® at 1-800-882-6274. If you have a health care emergency, please call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest Emergency Department.

Scope of Services
Hamilton Primary Care Center offers the following services:

  • Adult acute and chronic care
  • Well child/sick child care
  • Wellness exams
  • Preoperative evaluation of patients
  • EKG
  • Lab
  • Minor procedures
  • Pap smears
  • Drug testing
  • Minor procedures

 

In the event that a patient needs a service or medical care that isn’t provided by Hamilton Primary Care Center, the health care provider on duty will provide a referral to that service and/or medical specialty during regular business hours. Hamilton Primary Care Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. If a patient needs access to care when the clinic is closed, those patients may opt to receive care from North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton’s Emergency Department.
