Nurse Link^® is a free community service initiated to provide callers with health information, triage symptom-based calls and make recommendations by utilizing a physician-approved, computerized protocol system and reference materials.  All calls are answered and recorded by registered nurses with combined experiences in pediatrics, home health, med-surg and physicians offices.  Nurse Link^® is available from 7 a.m. until midnight, seven days a week by calling 1-800-882-6274. 

The Desk is a free community health and physician referral service.  Calls are answered by referral specialists who provide timely appointments with area health care providers and give information regarding various NMHS Live Well programs, seminars, health fairs and other services throughout the community.   Appointments are scheduled for callers seeking first time or follow up visits with physicians participating with The Desk. All physicians are given equal referral opportunities in their specialty through a fair and unbiased computerized rotating system.  Currently more than 1400 Health Link physicians participate in the referral services.  The Desk is available from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling 1-800-843-3375. 

The Physician Consult Line was created to give health care providers in outlying areas quick and easy access to all NMHS departments, clinics and specialists in Tupelo.  The service is available exclusively for physicians and their staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
