Phase I
Phase I is a physician-ordered program
consisting of progressive exercise and monitoring combined with education
and training. Education includes anatomy, coronary artery disease,
smoking cessation and tobacco use, contributing risk factors, pulse
monitoring, stress management and methods of lifestyle modification.
Exercise is introduced in the hospital
setting beginning with self-care activities and progressing daily in a
structured, monitored walking program.
Phase II and Phase III Programs

Approximately three
exercise sessions per week for eight to 12 weeks |

One-hour exercise
sessions are offered three times each week on Monday, Wednesday and
Friday at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. |

Phase IV (Maintenance) Program
An extended program for individuals who have completed Phase II and/or
Phase III as ordered by the physician. Program hours are 5:45-9 a.m.
Monday through Friday.
Program Requirements:
Participants must have a written physician referral and current medical
evaluation. The physician's order may include specific recommendations
and/or any restrictions that apply to your specific cardiac rehabilitation
needs.
