KOMEN NORTH MISSISSIPPI RACE FOR THE CURE® PLANS

ANNUAL LUNCHEON TO HONOR BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS

TUPELO, Miss. -- The seventh annual Celebrate Life Survivor Luncheon will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 21, at Harrisburg Baptist Church, 4675 Cliff Gookin Boulevard.

The event is free for breast cancer survivors and is offered each year as part of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s North Mississippi Race for the Cure®. Guest tickets will be available at the door for $10.

This year’s featured speaker is Vickie Ramsey of Booneville, a breast cancer survivor and author of “Humor ‘n’ Healing.” According to the author, the book should be uplifting to anyone but especially to those experiencing difficult times through illness, financial woes, family struggles, or any of life’s many valleys.

The luncheon will be sponsored and catered by Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar. Seating will be limited so advance registration is requested.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36.

Call (662) 377-4049 for reservations or information on this Komen North Mississippi Race for the Cure® activity.
