BROWN SELECTED OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE

AT NMMC-WEST POINT

WEST POINT, Miss.—Martha A. Brown has been selected as North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.

Brown has been a medical record clerk in the West Point hospital’s Health Information Services department since 2003. Prior to that time, she worked two years as a medical clerk at NMMC in Tupelo.

Martha provides excellent service with a smile. She always has time for her customers,” coworkers stated in nominating her for the honor. “She is very competent at her job.”

A graduate of Starkville High School, Brown studied at Northeast Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University.

“I enjoy working in an environment where it’s easy to smile and to be friendly. People are very kind and treat each other with respect and compassion,” Brown said. “I think being in a small facility within a small town gives you that opportunity to become close and to build lasting friendships.”

She has two children, Brandon Carter, 4, and Cameron Carter, 6 weeks. Brown attends Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Starkville.
