BALDWYN,
Miss.—Students in Cresada Barnett’s class at Baldwyn Elementary School were
treated to lunch from Chick-fil-A at Thompson Square on Oct. 13. The third
grade class had the most participants in the Baldwyn Okeelala Festival Fun Run,
which was sponsored by North Mississippi Medical Center’s Baldwyn Wellness
Center and raised $1,500 to support the school’s art program. Helping the
Chick-fil-A mascot distribute lunch to the students were (from left) Carolyn
Earnest, a member of Baldwyn Wellness Center and the festival children’s
committee; Nelta Allen of the children’s committee; Hilary Hamblin, director of
the Baldwyn Chamber of Commerce; teacher Cresada Barnett; Joe Blassingame,
Baldwyn Elementary School principal; children’s committee members Karma Brown
and Kathy Kirk; and Jamey Finley, Chick-fil-A manager.
