PRESIDENT OF AMDA CHARTER GROUP
TUPELO, Miss.—John R. Mitchell, M.D., was recently selected president of the charter group for organizing the Mississippi Chapter of the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA). Dr. Mitchell and this group will work closely with Keith Mansel, M.D., with Information and Quality Healthcare (IQH) to organize the state chapter.
Dr. Mitchell is a board-certified family practice physician with the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center and serves as the center’s associate director. Dr. Mitchell also serves as medical director of the Cedar Greenhouses at Traceway Retirement Community. He previously practiced at Pontotoc Medical Clinic for several years.
Dr. Mitchell completed his medical studies at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and his family practice residency at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The American Medical Directors Association is the professional association of medical directors and physicians practicing in the long term care continuum, dedicated to excellence in patient care by providing education, advocacy, information, and professional development.
