            TUPELO, Miss.—Beth Loudermilk (left), bereavement and volunteer coordinator with North Mississippi Medical Center’s Hospice program, and Scott Herman (right), director of NMMC’s Home Health Agency and Hospice, present the 2003-2004 Volunteer of the Year award to Patsy Frederick of Smithville. After becoming a part of the Hospice program through the illness of her son, Frederick signed on as a Hospice volunteer. This year she has worked directly with four patients and their families, helped with the organization’s “We Care Workday,” assisted Hospice staff in preparing admission packets and sending holiday cards to patients’ families, as well as other volunteer duties.
