VAUGHN HONORED BY PEERS

 

            WEST POINT, Miss.—Henry L. Vaughn, an emergency medical technician with the Ambulance Service, has been selected by his peers as North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.

            Vaughn joined the hospital’s staff in 1995 as a security officer. Prior to then he worked 14 years at Bryan Foods and for the Clay County Sheriff’s Department for six years. He is a graduate of Maben High School and attended East Mississippi Community College at Mayhew.

            Vaughn’s helpfulness and courtesy were cited in his nomination. He also volunteers pastoral services to benefit patients and family members. “He goes out of his way to help others,” the nomination stated.

            “The best part of my job is having the opportunity to brighten someone’s day,” Vaughn said.

            Vaughn also serves as pastor of New St. Peter’s M.B. Church. He is president of the Clay County Ministers Alliance and is a board member of the West Point Schools Parent-Teacher Association. He and his wife Linda Marie have two children, Brittney Nichole and Louis Deune.
