AMORY HOME HEALTH OFFICE

DELIVERS CHRISTMAS FRUIT BASKETS

AMORY, Miss.—“Tis better to give than receive” was the motto this holiday season for the staff of the Amory branch office of North Mississippi Medical Center’s Home Health Agency as they delivered Christmas fruit baskets to needy home health patients in Monroe and Clay counties.

“This holiday season the staff decided to make Christmas fruit baskets for some of our patients,” said Darlene Waycaster, branch manager, Amory home health office. “We have patients who are without family, and others are very needy. We look at this as an opportunity to make the holidays a little brighter for those who are less fortunate.”

The Amory home health staff delivered 60 Christmas fruit baskets in the days preceeding the holidays.

NMMC’s Home Health Agency has 11 branch offices and serves 17 counties including Alcorn, Benton, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Monroe, Oktibbeha, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union and Webster.

Home care, which is the most cost-effective way of delivering care, is available by physician referral. For more information on the NMMC Home Health Agency, call (662) 377-2499 or 1-800-THE DESK (1-800-843-3375).
