TUPELO, Miss.—Hank Boerner, director of North Mississippi Medical Center Wellness Centers in Tupelo, Pontotoc and Baldwyn, has been named chairman-elect for the Medical Fitness Association.
Boerner, who has been a member of the organization for 12 years, served the past three years as secretary/treasurer and will continue in that post for 2005. He was also a featured speaker at the national conference in November. Boerner will take over as chairman of the organization in 2006.
The Medical Fitness Association is an organization dedicated to the promotion of hospital-based fitness and wellness centers throughout the United States and other nations. MFA is affiliated with the American Hospital Association, American Council on Exercise and American College of Sports Medicine.
