NMMC BRINGS FIRST SPIRIT OF WOMEN GETAWAY TO TUPELO

 

TUPELO, Miss.—Recording artist Kathy Mattea will kick off North Mississippi Medical Center's first-ever Spirit of Women Getaway Jan. 14-15 with a concert that Friday evening at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo.

Mattea’s first hit came in 1986 with “Love At The Five and Dime.” Her 20-year career includes such Top 10 songs as “Where’ve You Been,” “Life As We Knew It,” “Walk the Way the Wind Blows,” “Come From The Heart” and “Walking Away A Winner.”

Mattea has won two Grammy awards, two Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year awards and her song, “Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses,” was named CMA Single of the Year.

The fun continues on Saturday with the national Red Dress Collection, fashion shows, a cooking demonstration and scores of fun booths and sessions.
