North Mississippi Medical Center uses Press Ganey to help measure patient satisfaction. The firm, headquartered in South Bend, Ind., conducts more than 4 million surveys annually for its clients. Considered to be the industry leader in this fast-growing field, Press Ganey gathers patient comments that help us measure how well we are serving our patients' needs.
Press Ganey conducts a random sampling of patients that used NMMC's services at various locations throughout north Mississippi and northwest Alabama. Paper surveys are mailed to the patients in the survey sample. Patients complete and return the survey to help us measure their experience. Press Ganey tabulates the survey responses for patients in the following categories: inpatient, outpatient, ER, home health, long-term care and North Mississippi Medical Clinics.
These surveys provide insight into specific situations, such as the admitting or discharge process, the room, meals, nursing responsiveness, physician interaction, satisfaction with the lab and radiology, and so on.
The Press Ganey surveys are an example of how NMMC is working to be the very best that we can be. We welcome our patients' comments. We respect what you have to say about our services, whether it's very poor, poor, fair, good or very good.
