It is the intent of the Radiology Department to provide high quality examinations on a scheduled basis. Requests for emergency or urgent exams will be worked into the schedule as quickly and conveniently as possible.

The Radiology staff will collaborate and work together as a team to develop, implement and evaluate Radiology services to met or exceed patient and customer expectations.
The NMMC Radiology Services provides diagnostic imaging on both inpatients and outpatients. The majority of the patient population served is adult, yet there are a number of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients. Patients may be ambulatory or nonambulatory and referred to as inpatient, outpatient or emergency patients.
The Medical Staff Radiologists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology. The Radiologists are consultants, responsible for performing procedures, interpreting images and advising referring physicians on which imaging procedures to do and in what sequence. The Radiology Technical staff are licensed by the state of Mississippi and are registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The Ultrasound personnel are registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The Nuclear Medicine personnel are registered or registry eligible with the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board.
All Diagnostic Radiology Services are available twenty four (24) hours a day seven (7) days week with the exception of MRI, Special Procedures and Nuclear Medicine. We have on-call technical staff for emergency procedures in these areas. The Radiologists are also available in-house or by telephone/pager at all times.
