Adaptive Water Ski Clinic

NMMC Rehabilitation Services will sponsor free Adaptive Water Ski Clinics in 2012 at Elvis Presley State Park. Clinics are scheduled on July 18 and August 21 for individuals who are at least one year post-spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury, or who have other physical limitations.

In 2004, NMMC received a grant from the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services through the Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund to purchase adaptive water ski equipment. For several years prior to receiving the grant, NMMC partnered with Mississippi Methodist Rehabilitation Center and borrowed equipment for a local clinic. Having the equipment has allowed NMMC to serve more individuals each year.
