A $100 joining fee covers the initial fitness assessments. These profiles include:

  • Height/weight
  • Heart rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Body composition assessment
  • Muscular strength and endurance
  • Flexibility test
  • Aerobic capacity
  • Individual exercise prescription

Personnel

All instructors are specially trained, degreed and/or certified. They possess the expertise and knowledge to help you reach your personal fitness goals.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone over 13 years old with a signed physician's clearance form. Monthly rates are:

  • Individual $36
  • Spouse $33
  • Family $65 maximum
  • Senior citizens and military personnel receive a 10 percent discount.
  • Any individual who pays for one year's membership in full receives a 10 percent discount.
  • Children must be under age 21 to qualify for discount.
  • Children under 18 also need a signed parental consent form.
  • Business discounts are available.

Nonmembers may play as a guest of members.

Babysitting Services

Babysitting services are available mornings and evenings for children 6 weeks to 8 years old. Each member may bring two children under walking age each visit. The fee is $2 per child per hour. Reservations are necessary.

Mississippi Academy of Performing Arts

The Mississippi Academy of Performing Arts at NMMC-West Point Wellness Center offers a variety of dance classes for all ages. After-school and evening classes are available for ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop dance. Wellness Center member, multiple class and sibling discounts are available. The artistic director is Betty Deans, who began dance training at age 5 in ballet, jazz, lyrical, clogging, pointe, tap and hip-hop.
