Donna Pritchard, RN, MSN, FNP-BC is the Chief Nursing Executive/Vice President of Nursing for North Mississippi Medical Center and has indirect responsibility for all areas of nursing.
Pritchard received her associates degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in 1991, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1997, her master's degree in nursing administration from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 1999, and her family nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 2001. She joined NMMC in 1991; and, since that time, Pritchard has served at the bedside as a neurological, med-surg, and critical care nurse, as an Emergency Services nurse practitioner, and in various nursing leadership roles.
She is an active member of the Mississippi Hospital Association Organization of Nurse Executives, the Mississippi Committee on Systems of Care, the North Mississippi Trauma System System Executive Board, the Mississippi Board of Nursing Sub-Committee on Emergency Services, the Mississippi University of Women’s Nursing Advisory Board, and the Northeast Mississippi Community College Nursing and Medical Assistant Program Advisory Board. She serves as a board member at-large for the Mississippi Hospital Association of Nurse Executives and as vice president of the Northeast Council of Nurse Executives. Her other professional affiliations include the Mississippi Nurses’ Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Nursing Staff Development Organization, and the Beta Phi chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
