North Mississippi Health Services is one big family – with seven hospitals and more than 50 clinics in 24 counties in north Mississippi and northwest Alabama. Our community connection extends past the walls of our hospitals and clinics. NMHS is proud to make a difference in the communities where our employees, patients and families live. Our mission of continuously improving the health of the people of our region drives our compassion for our patients and families, both inside and outside the workplace.
NMHS offers numerous opportunities for employees to become involved in area communities through service and kindness. NMHS is a proud advocate for United Way of Northeast Mississippi and our very own Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi.
United Way of Northeast Mississippi fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in northeast Mississippi. By investing in programs and agencies throughout seven counties in the region, United Way furthers the common good in the impact areas of academic success, family stability and health and wellness. Through volunteering with and monetary contributions to United Way of Northeast Mississippi, NMHS employees help impact local communities in a number of ways.
Extraordinary patient- and family-centered care begins with our employees. The Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi receives support from more than 2,500 donors each year, including NMHS employees and physicians. The Health Care Foundation supports our organization’s mission of continuously improving the health of the people of our region by supporting everything from patient assistance, diabetes education and children’s health programs to innovations in patient care.
