Take a Virtual Tour of Pediatrics (Nursing)

Meet the Nurse Manager: Amanda Foster, BSN, RN

Amanda FosterAmanda has been with NMMC for around 20 years, the majority of which have been with Pediatrics. After watching her grandmother battle ovarian cancer and experiencing the love and compassion from the nurses who cared for her, Amanda felt called to pursue a career in nursing. “I knew in my heart that I needed to care for others in a time of need, and I am so thankful I made that decision. It’s very difficult to go through hardships, but I believe sometimes the Lord lets us experience things in life to mold us into the person we are meant to be,” Amanda said. After graduating from nursing school, Amanda knew she wanted to work in Pediatrics. “I truly have a passion for what we do here at NMMC,” Amanda said, “and I take great pride in the care we provide the children who seek services here.” Amanda has helped facilitate a partnership with Children’s of Mississippi to help increase our physician support and continue to care for patients closer to home.

Amanda and her husband, Stephen, have been married for almost 21 years. They have three teen-aged children: Kaitlyn, Connor and Ethan. Amanda enjoys singing, playing the piano, traveling and spending time with family.
