Bobby Tullos, M.D., graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi in Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his internal medicine residency and his pulmonary and critical care fellowships at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He has served in the United States Army for more than 20 years – five years on Active Duty, five years in the Army Reserves and is currently on his tenth year in the Mississippi Army National Guard. His current rank is Major, and he has served four overseas deployments to Bosnia, Kuwait and Iraq.
Dr. Tullos says he chose North Mississippi Medical Clinics because he felt part of a family. “I felt a sense of being part of a family with Pulmonary Consultants and being integral in the health care team at NMMC,” he says.
About his hobbies and interests, Dr. Tullos says, “By default, I think a majority of us in health care are nerds, and as such, I enjoy the chemistry and process of making beer. I am a self-proclaimed foodie and really enjoy trying new restaurants.”
Dr. Tullos is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine, and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
