Professional Presence Do's and Don'ts

Examples of appropriate attire include:

  • Collared, button down or polo shirts
  • Women’s blouses or tops
  • Sweaters or sweater vests
  • Slacks, khakis, dress pants and skirts (no shorter than three inches above the knee)
  • Scrubs
  • Clean, closed-toed or open toed dress shoes or athletic shoes

  • Jeans (including dark jeans)
  • Shorts
  • Sweatshirts, hoodies, sports shirts, athletic wear
  • Flip flops
  • Spaghetti straps, halter tops, skin tight or revealing clothing
