Barnes Receives DAISY Award
TUPELO, Miss.—David Wilson, North Mississippi Medical Center president, and Donna Pritchard, chief nursing executive, present Contesta Barnes, RN, of the Medical Intensive Care Unit with NMMC’s October DAISY Award.
Barnes received a certificate, a DAISY Award pin, a bouquet donated by Bishop’s Flower Shop and a hand-carved stone sculpture titled A Healer’s Touch.
Barnes earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women and joined the NMMC staff in June 2012. She resides in Tupelo with her daughter, Annarose.
