Dr. Montgomery Joins OB Hospitalists

TUPELO, Miss.—Brandon Montgomery, M.D., FACOG, has joined the OB/GYN hospitalist program at the North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital.

The program staffs board-certified obstetrician-gynecologists in the labor and delivery unit 24 hours daily. OB/GYN Hospitalists act as an extension of the health care team—performing examinations, evaluating the progress of labor, reviewing test results and fetal heart rate tracings, delivering babies, assisting with surgeries and addressing any complications that may arise.

Dr. Montgomery earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He earned his medical degree from LSU in Shreveport in 2009 and completed his internship and residency there in 2013. He has practiced with Sumer Women’s Associates in Gallatin, Tenn., since that time.
