Linda Roberts Named NMMC’s Employee of the Month
TUPELO, Miss.—Linda Roberts, transcription office coordinator for the Heart Institute, was selected as North Mississippi Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for December.
Roberts has been with NMMC since 1992. She previously worked as a Home Health aide and as an ambassador. Roberts retired in December but is still working on a part-time basis.
She is a graduate of Mantachie High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville and Itawamba Community College in Tupelo.
“The best part of my job is knowing that I had a small part in helping our patients. I love that feeling of personal satisfaction at the end of the work day knowing that I gave more than I took,” Roberts said.
In her nomination, coworkers praised Roberts’ work ethic and attitude.
“Linda is always positive no matter what,” a coworker wrote in her nomination. “She is very dependable and willing to help out wherever she’s needed without complaining. She is always in a good mood no matter what she’s going through. She is a very patient person when training another employee and a great listener.”
“Linda has so many job responsibilities, and she does them all so well and always with a smile on her face,” another coworker wrote. “She is just an overall excellent employee. She always has a kind word and a smile for everyone she comes in contact with. Linda always makes every day brighter when you see her.”
Roberts is married to Joe Roberts and they reside in Baldwyn. They have two children—Jody Roberts and Amy (Roberts) Bratton, and three grandchildren. Roberts attends East Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
