Medical Technician Graduates

TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center Medical Technology Program recently graduated eight area residents including Merrio Buckner of Columbus, Mississippi University for Women; Elizabeth Buse, Mantachie, Mississippi State University; Bree Harris, Marietta, MSU; Mary Marino, Corinth, Blue Mountain College; Vincent Tran, Tupelo, MSU; Kris Trest, Oxford, University of Mississippi; Graham Churchwell, Adamsville, Tenn., Bethel University; and Brianca Jennings, Jackson, MSU.

Established in 1957, NMMC’s Medical Technology Program accepts 12 students each year who have completed at least three years at an affiliated college or university. Students spend the first six months in the student lab portion of the program and the final six months rotating through the various sections of NMMC’s clinical laboratory. Having completed the program, graduates are now eligible for national certification.
