NMMC-West Point Academic Achievers

WEST POINT, Miss.— Barry Keel, administrator, recognized several North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point employees during a luncheon June 21 for academic achievements during the past year. Honorees included (from left) Eva Jo Surunis, Doctorate of Pharmacy, University of Florida; Mary Johnson, Medical Coding and Billing Specialist, U.S. Career Institute; Mary Ann Shows, Exercise and Obesity Self Study Course, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and Walk With Ease course, Arthritis Foundation; Jonie Tharp, Certified Wound Care Specialist, National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy; Brenda Pennington, Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, University of Alabama; Meagan Smith, Registered Mammography Technologist, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Wanda Moore, Certified Lactation Consultant, International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, and Certified Childbirth Educator, Prepared Childbirth Educators; and Valerie McCray, Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, University of Phoenix.

Other honorees were Monica Cole, Certified Wound Care Specialist, National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy; Gus Joseph, Certified Flight RN (CFRN), Pearson Test Center; and Anna Lummus and Whitney Gray, Associate of Applied Science, Radiologic Technology, Itawamba Community College.
