NMMC-West Point Honors Smith as Outstanding Employee
WEST POINT, Miss.—Meagan Smith, a radiologic technologist at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point, has been selected by her peers as North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.
A graduate of Smithville High School, she joined the hospital staff in 2013 after earning her associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Itawamba Community College in Fulton. She also holds an Associate of Arts degree with special honors and additional certification in mammography.
“The absolute best part of my job as a mammographer is meeting all the fabulous women I get to care for,” Smith said. “My job is a blessing in which I am thankful for each and every day.”
Coworkers cited Smith’s “contagious smile,” energy and willingness to help others. “She is mentioned on our patient surveys on many occasions for providing excellent care and making our customers feel comfortable,” one coworker noted. She is also a valuable member of the hospital’s Patient Satisfaction team.
“My coworkers are gracious and like family,” she said. “NMMC-West Point is a wonderful place to work with the most amazing people.”
Smith is a member of Fig Hill Church of God in Hamilton and has “two loving pets,” Mokah and Stella.
