Dr. Sherrer Joins Urologic
TUPELO, Miss—Urologic announces the association of board-certified urologist Todd Sherrer, M.D.

Dr. Sherrer graduated from John Tyler Morgan Academy in Selma, Ala., in 1982. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in English from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham in 1990 and did an internship in general surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va.
Dr. Sherrer served as a naval flight surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Fla., and was also assigned to Futenma Marine Corps Air Station in Okinawa, Japan, and Norfolk Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Va. He completed a residency in urology at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia.
Dr. Sherrer served as a staff urologist at the Naval Hospital Pensacola and later with South Georgia Urology Group, P.C., in Thomasville, Ga.
Since 2001, he has been in private practice in Selma, where he has served in several leadership roles with the medical staff at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. For the past six years, he also performed robotic surgery at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association.
He is married to Neill Sherrer, and they have four children—Rachael, who is a third year medical student at the University of Alabama in Birmingham; Caroline, a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina in Asheville; Will, a junior at the University of Alabama; and Emily, a freshman at the University of Alabama. He is an avid fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and enjoys hunting, the outdoors and spending time with his family.
