NMMC Names Lisa Ellis Employee of the Month
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center has named Lisa Ellis, RN, in Interventional Radiology as Employee of the Month.
Ellis joined NMMC in 2000. She worked on the neurology floor for two years and in the Emergency Department for 10 years before joining Radiology.
She is a Shannon High School graduate and earned her associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in Fulton. Ellis is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
“What I love most about my job are the people I have the privilege to come in contact with every day and the possibility of helping and making someone or some family member’s life a little better at that moment,” Ellis said.
In her nomination, Ellis was called a great teammate and an excellent caregiver for patients.
“Lisa Ellis is a valuable team member,” a coworker wrote. “She works hard daily and treats everyone she encounters with respect and honesty. She is an excellent mentor for new staff and a resource person for others.”
“There has never been a time that Lisa has not been available to help me or anyone else in need with a smile on her face,” another coworker wrote. “She takes the time to talk with the patients and their family members. She assesses their needs the second they enter the room.”
She and husband Greg Ellis attend Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in New Albany. They have five children—Shay Ellis, Leah Hannon, Nickie Holt, Courtney Bethune and Mallory Ellis.
