Nurse Mentorship Academy 2017

TUPELO, Miss.—Area students participating in the Nurse Mentorship Academy at North Mississippi Medical Center are Brieyonna Shannon, Madison Bishop, Krista West, Jamesha Lyons, Chris Bolton, Amber Jarvis, Claire Coggin, Alyssa Greer, Erin Biffle, Braxton Smith, Shelby Allen, Chasity Lanham, Ryan Watts, Samantha Reynolds and Morgan Lyons. Katherine Bailey and Shelby Ward also completed the program.

Students attended after-school classes for eight weeks and received 80 hours of certified nursing assistant training this summer at Itawamba Community College. This training prepares participants to take the certification exam in July and gives them a head start on a career in health care. The NMMC Nurse Mentorship Academy is made possible by a grant from the Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi.
