Beth Anglin Named Employee of the Month at NMMC
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center has named Beth Anglin, nursing assistant and unit coordinator for 5 West, as its latest Employee of the Month.
Anglin joined NMMC in December 2016. A graduate of Marine City High School in Michigan, Anglin attended Itawamba Community College in Belden. She earned her CNA certification in 2016. She also has attained phlebotomy certification and Level 2 CNA/unit coordinator certification.
“What I love most about my job is being able to work on the oncology floor—caring for the patients and their families during what is usually a difficult time in their lives,” Anglin said. “I was my mother’s caregiver when she was diagnosed with cancer. I feel I am able to care for my patients and their families in a personal way because of my own experiences.”
Anglin was noted by her coworkers for her unselfishness and her skills as a caregiver.
“She goes above and beyond with all her patients,” one coworker wrote in her nomination. “She often checks on them when they have been moved to other floors. She gives patients the extra TLC when they have no visitors or family that visit.”
“No matter when I call her for a patient, she answers with a kind voice and then is quick to respond to their needs no matter who the patient is assigned to,” another coworker wrote. “She cares for our patients like they are family.”
Anglin and her husband Raymond are the parents of 25-year-old Morgan Rae Anglin.
