Dr. Boursoulian Named NMMC Rehab Physician of the Year
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center’s Acute Rehabilitation Services recently presented the Physician of the Year award to Feras Jeradeh-Boursoulian, M.D., director of NMMC’s neuro-hospitalist program and stroke program.
“Each year the team votes on a physician who has been most appreciated by the staff for expertise in their field, professionalism, communication, approachability and patient care skills,” Henley said. “The winning physician is one who has demonstrated an appreciation for therapy and inpatient wound care services over the last year.”
In his nomination, Dr. Boursoulian was described as always approachable and willing to listen to treatment suggestions, even if it is on a patient who is not under his direct care. He keeps a calm demeanor in stressful situations. He takes the time to ensure that patients and families understand their diagnosis and plan of care. He advocates for therapy and anything in his patients’ best interest.
Dr. Boursoulian joined the NMMC staff in September 2014. He earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus and completed a neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock in 2014. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
