Knitting Grace Donation

TUPELO, Miss.— Emily and Steve Hutton of Knitting Grace recently presented handcrafted beanies and blankets for patients in North Mississippi Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Receiving the items are Ellen Friloux, director of NMMC Women and Children’s Services; Christy Whitley, NICU social worker; and Jessica Fears, NICU nurse manager.

Knitting Grace is a new ministry led by the Huttons with a mission to donate handmade hats and blankets to all NICU families at NMMC. Anyone who crochets or knits is encouraged to turn leftover yarn into “blankets of blessing” and “hats of hope” through Knitting Grace. The group also hopes to supply yarn and supplies so that local nursing home residents can participate.

Knitting Grace accepts donations of handmade beanies and blankets or supplies between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Hutton Insurance Solutions, which is located inside the Renasant Center for Ideas, 398 E. Main St., Suite 209 in Tupelo.
