Lambert Birthday NICU Donation

TUPELO, Miss.—Lyonel and Lydia Lambert of Iuka along with their children—1-year-old triplets Linley, Lottie and Lila; Liam, 6; and Lily Beth, 2—recently donated 70 Christmas stockings filled with goodies for babies in the Neontatal Care Unit at the North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital.

The family also donated nine cases of water, 45 restaurant gift cards and a host of snack and toiletry items for the Wee Care Room for parents of NICU patients who often face a lengthy hospital stay.

The Lambert triplets were born Dec. 3, 2017. Lottie spent 21 days in the NICU; Linley, 19 days; and Lila, 13 days. “When we were there we were so thankful for those $10 gift cards and gas cards people had donated,” Lydia Lambert said, so they decided to pay it forward.

For the triplets’ first birthday, in lieu of gifts, the Lamberts requested donations to the NICU Wee Care Room. They presented the donations to NICU registered nurses (from left) Renee McClurkan, Tiffany Byars and Alex McBrayer.
