Mixon Named NMMC-Eupora Administrator
EUPORA, Miss—Robin Mixon, FACHCA, has been named administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora. She had been serving in an interim capacity since May 1.
Mixon also serves as administrator of NMMC-Eupora’s long-term care facility. She was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Fellowship requires a record of participation in professional continuing education, suitable formal education, community service and at least two years of voting membership. Mixon has been a member of the ACHCA since November 2013.
Mixon, who joined the hospital’s staff in 2004, became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2012 and was promoted to associate hospital administrator and nursing home administrator in 2014.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree in health administration from Trident University International. She is a licensed preceptor under the Mississippi Board of Nursing Home Administrators as well as a certified health safety professional. Mixon is involved in the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American College of Health Care Administrators, the Mississippi Rural Health Association and the Mississippi Public Health Association. She was recently named a Mississippi Hospital Association Emerging Leader. Mixon currently serves as a Rotary Club Assistant District Governor for and is actively involved in the Eupora 20th Century Club and First Baptist Church Eupora.
NMMC-Eupora is affiliated with North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo. The acute care hospital is licensed for 38 beds, with 20 designated for swing bed care. The long-term care facility has 35 beds. The NMMC-Eupora campus includes Eupora Family Medical Clinic, Eupora Pediatric Clinic and a Specialty Clinic. In addition, Calhoun County Medical Clinic and Kilmichael Family Medical Clinic are affiliated with NMMC-Eupora.
