NMMC-West Point Recognizes Bell as Outstanding Employee
WEST POINT, Miss.—The staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point has selected Unisa Bell as the most recent Employee of the Quarter.
Bell joined the NMMC staff in 2016 and works as a certified nursing assistant on the medical surgical unit.
She graduated from West Point High School in 2009 and anticipates graduating from East Mississippi Community College at Mayhew in 2019.
Coworkers say Bell is kind, caring, and never lets a difficult situation ruin her day. “Unisa is always smiling and friendly. She makes you smile just being around her,” her nomination states. “She truly cares for her patients and I have witnessed her following up on patients after they are discharged.”
“She takes care of patients as if they were her own family. All patients love her,” states the nomination.
Bell has one child, Kamari Cannon, and attends Third Mt. Olive Church of West Point.
“The best part of my job is being able to take care of others, knowing the smile on my face and entrance into a room can brighten someone’s day!” said Bell. “What I love most about my job is the interaction with the patient and family members and getting to know them on a personal level.”
