North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton Primary Care Center Welcomes New Providers
HAMILTON, Ala.–North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton Primary Care Center welcomes new family medicine physician Lisa Smothers, D.O., and Lisa Wanner, FNP-C.
Dr. Smothers, a Jasper native, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and finished her medical training at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg. She recently completed her family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo, Miss.
Wanner, a board-certified nurse practitioner, began her career in nursing in 1989 as an LPN, and received her registered nursing license in 1996. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Alabama in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She received her master’s degree in nursing in 2017 from Troy University. She has worked at North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton for 16 years.
In addition, Ashton Wilbanks, FNP-BC, is now taking new patients as a primary care provider.
