Teresa Ballard Named NMMC’s Employee of the Month
TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center has named Teresa Ballard as its most recent Employee of the Month.
Ballard, unit coordinator on 5 West, joined NMMC in 2000 and previously worked on 3 South and 1 West before assuming her current role. She is a graduate of Hamilton High School in Alabama and attended the University of North Alabama before earning her licensed practical nursing (LPN) certification from Bevill State Community College.
“I am very blessed to work with the best people in the world, who I am proud to call my extended family,” said Ballard.
In her nomination, coworkers praised Ballard as a caring and compassionate employee.
“Teresa Ballard does a wonderful job as unit coordinator,” said one coworker. “She completes her tasks in a timely and professional manner. I know my day will run more smoothly when she is working that day.”
“She is always helping patients and their families with any concerns or questions they have,” another coworker wrote in her nomination. “She has a very welcoming attitude and always answers the patients’ calls with a caring voice.”
Ballard has two nephews, Austin and Hunter Ballard, and a niece, Cailyn Rape, who she enjoys spending time with. She lives in Algoma and attends Algoma Baptist Church. Ballard’s hobbies include riding horses, competing in dressage shows and taking care of her puppies, Rocky, DayZee and Marlee.
