“Each year the team votes on a physician who has been most appreciated by the staff for expertise in their field, professionalism, communication, approachability and patient care skills,” said Wade Henley, a physical therapist and rehabilitation coordinator for North Mississippi Medical Center’s Acute Rehabilitation Services. “The winning physician is one who has demonstrated an appreciation for therapy and inpatient wound care services over the last year.”
In his nomination, Dr. Seigler was described as “a great patient advocate” who “gets to the bottom of the issues with those he cares for” and “believes in therapy to assist in the recovery of his patients.” Dr. Seigler “advocates for patient mobility and independence.” Therapists wrote that he values their input and recommendations, is thorough and always wants to do what is good for his patients.
Dr. Seigler joined the NMMC staff in 2011. He earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is board certified in internal medicine.
