North Mississippi Medical Clinics Name Cook Employee of the Month
VERONA, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Clinics recently named Frankie Cook, admission/discharge specialist at Barnes Crossing Medical Clinic, as the October Employee of the Month.
Cook joined Barnes Crossing Medical Clinic full-time in 2015, but had previously worked at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo in the pathology department part-time at the clinic. She received her phlebotomy certification from Itawamba Community College in 1990.
She says the best part of her job is getting to enjoy being around people who care about her. “They want to be a family here, not just a job,” she said. She is married to Shane Cook, and she has one daughter and two step-daughters. She has two grandchildren and two more on the way. She attends Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Skyline.
”Frankie is very professional and always willing to help when needed,” said a coworker who nominated Cook. “She cares about the patients and our clinic. She is dependable and wants to see this clinic succeed. She never complains and does her best in every interaction. She is always pleasant and compassionate.”
The Employee of the Month honor recognizes employees with exemplary job performance and customer service skills, as well as community involvement.
