Pugh Recognized as PR Senior Practitioner
TUPELO, Miss.—Deborah Roberts Pugh was recognized as a Senior Practitioner at the 2019 Southern Public Relations Federation Conference.
The designation honors SPRF members who are recognized by their peers as veteran public relations professionals with high ethical standing. Nomination and selection is made by their local chapter based on criteria set by the Federation, including 15 years of full-time PR experience, officer or board member at chapter, state or SPRF level, and recognition of professionalism by SPRF or other organizations.
Pugh is a staff writer in the Marketing and Public Relations Department of North Mississippi Health Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication/print journalism from Mississippi State University in Starkville and a master’s degree in human resources management and development from Chapman University in Orange, California.
She has more than 29 years of healthcare marketing experience with NMHS, including 21 years in Tupelo and five years at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point, as well as three years at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. In addition, she has several years of newspaper reporting, copy editing and advertising experience. Pugh previously served as treasurer of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi Northeast Chapter.
