Stahl Retires from NMHS after 39 Years
TUPELO, Miss.—Jill Stahl, human resources coordinator at North Mississippi Health Services, recently retired after 39 years of service.
She started work at NMHS just after high school graduation in 1980 as a payroll clerk, where she manually stuffed, sealed and delivered envelopes with checks to departments. “Things have changed so much,” Stahl said. “There’s more automation, and checks are direct deposit. I have enjoyed being able to grow with the organization as we learned new things and added new services.”
She says the best part of her job is the people she has worked with. “I have made friends with so many people who have become like family,” she said. “Getting to know them and becoming close has made this more than just a job to me.”
Stahl, who is from Guntown, is looking forward to being able to help care for her parents, who live in Baldwyn. She also looks forward to working in her yard, planting and caring for her flowers, exercising more and working on several projects around her home.
She and her husband, Mike, have been married for 13 years. She has two children, Megan and Clay, and one 7-year-old granddaughter.
She attends Faith Baptist Church in Saltillo, where she plays the piano and serves in the children’s department.
