West Point children's clinic reopeningWEST POINT, Miss.—The staff of West Point Children’s Clinic invites area families to their grand re-opening from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.

In addition to touring the newly expanded and renovated clinic, participants can visit with staff and enjoy kid-friendly refreshments. On display throughout the clinic is artwork provided by third- and fourth-grade students at Southside Elementary School.

Built in 1991 on North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point’s campus, West Point Children’s Clinic recently expanded from nine to 16 examination rooms and grew by 1,537 square feet. The front entrance was moved for convenience, and a separate waiting area added for newborns who have not yet received their vaccinations. The lobby was renovated and a waiting area created for the business office’s two checkout stations.

The renovated clinic now includes two nurses stations which can accommodate four nurses each, as well as an easily-accessible medication room. A patient triage area was added, as well as provider office and consultation space.

Additional parking was added, and new landscaping was installed that is visible through large windows in the hallway.

Appointments with Drs. Keith Watson and Mark Wilson and nurse practitioners Whitt Foster and Jennifer Rigdon are available by calling (662) 494-1620 or 1-800-THE DESK (1-800-843-3375). Clinic hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
