Baldwyn Nursing Facility Recognizes Long as Employee of the Month
BALDWYN, Miss.—Baldwyn Nursing Facility has named Amanda Long, certified nursing assistant, as the most recent Employee of the Month.
Coworkers cited Long as being dependable, respectful and willing to help everyone. “What impresses me most with Amanda taking care of her residents is her calm and caring attitude,” said a coworker in her nomination. “I have observed her making rounds and asking each of her residents if they need anything. She always addresses them by their given name and is courteous with them. Amanda is the kind of CNA I want to have taking care of me should I ever need one.”
Long graduated from Saltillo High School in 2014 and joined the Baldwyn Nursing Facility staff soon thereafter. She earned an associate degree in public health technology from Itawamba Community College, where she also completed her training as a certified nursing assistant. She is engaged to Eddie McGee and attends First United Methodist Church in Saltillo.
“Seeing the sweet smiles on my residents’ faces brings the biggest joy in my heart,” Long said. “I enjoy spending time with them and listening to all of their life events.”
