Dee Foster Honored for 26 Years of Service

Dee Foster poses with her family at retirement receptionTUPELO, Miss.—Delorise “Dee” Foster of New Albany was recently recognized for her 26 years of service to North Mississippi Medical Center Home Health at a retirement reception held in her honor.

Foster was a home health aide for all of her 26 years at NMMC. She says her favorite part was “serving people.”

“I loved taking care of my patients and I know they enjoyed me, too,” she says. “I am thankful that I had the opportunity to work at NMMC with the great supervisors and coworkers that I had over the years.”

Foster cared for patients all over north Mississippi and spent a lot of time on the road. That’s one thing that won’t change much in retirement.

Foster and her husband, Howard, have three children, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family is spread out everywhere from Florida, and Georgia to Virginia and Ohio.

In addition to traveling to see family, Foster is looking forward to spending time with her husband and starting to work on some spring cleaning and painting projects at her home. She also enjoys going shopping and antiquing with her sister and niece.

Foster serves as an usher at Watson Grove Baptist Church in New Albany.
